For those that like to self-cater we provide everything you need to cook meals and prepare snacks. For those who would rather just come and put their feet up, we can provide a good value breakfast basket and recommend many good local restaurants that cater for all tastes at unbelievable prices.

Firstly, our guests can’t believe that you get ‘free’ tapa accompanying every cold drink in our neighbourhood! It’s a tradition here and something we LOVE!​ You’ll love it too!

We have two restaurants right on the lake, both with spectacular views Restaurante El Nautico and Restaurante Los Baños. During the week the Restaurante Los Baños offer a menu del dia for as little at 12 €. Eating from either of their main menus is not expensive either.

In our village of Zujar, guests can visit one of our favourite eating and drinking places, Gastrobar La Almazara. We always recommend their meat dishes which are superb and great value for money and the teryaki tuna dish is wonderful. They always serve the best tapas, which are of course, FREE with every cold drink.

Pizzeria Jabalcon - This is our favourite pizza place, we've eaten pizza all over and Paco's handmade base is right up there with the best. Pizza takeout or eat in, from 8.50 €. Sit and have a beer while you wait and enjoy your tapa. Gluten intolerent? Just tell Paco, he will prepare a gluten free pizza for you!

El Boliche del Nene

Lovely atmosphere, cool music, great beer with free tapa and a fabulous menu offering unique vegetarian, meat and fish dishes. There should be plenty of free events held in the plaza during the summer. The coolest place for a drink and chill out.

Cost effective activities near us include water sports on the lake and horse riding around the lake or alternately, near Baza, besides the beautiful nature spots we recommend which are of course free of charge.

Horse riding

The lovely folk Yeguada Y Granja Escuels stables offer horse riding experiences for all ages and abilities. Last summer a young couple staying with us had a relaxed full moon night ride at 10pm for an hour at 20 € each along the Baza basin…they absolutely loved it!

Massage at Casa Bella Teepees with Christina

Christina gives a chilled-out relaxation massage for 35 euros per person at your teepee or under our big Jasmin tree. Christina is a trained physiotherapist and also offers deep tissue massage to help repair muscles and ligaments. Many customers comment it’s the best massage they’ve ever had.

Free mountain bike hire. Get to see the outstanding natural beauty that surrounds us by bike.

Zújar's Thermal Pools - An amazing natural wonder

Our village Zújar, is considered a "thermal town" for its sulphurous waters which were well known during the Roman times. Right next to the turquoise Negratín reservoir is an exposed ancient hot spring that sends balmy hot water bubbling up to the surface of a pool 30m x 12m with a depth of 2m, at temperatures of around 40 °C! The natural thermal pool is completely free to visit and the Baños are only 2.50 euros per person. Both are located at the Restaurante Los Baños.

FREE places to visit and picnic

Most loved place by our guests, the Enchanted fig forest & river. This is our favourite picnic spot especially on a hot day. There’s a lovely area's beneath the tall trees as well as by the side of the river. You’ll find a walkway over the streams and small cascades that go right through a fig forest.

Another magical spot is the Guazalamanco stream with small cascades, crystal clear pools and beautiful waterfalls. An enchanting paradise in which to admire the green glades, tall pine trees and plant life.
